This May, you are invited to join the Institute for Applied Ecology to help plant sagebrush for restoration efforts across the West. Due to funding restrictions, we’re unable to plant normal amounts of sagebrush in prisons this year. Come learn all about the Sagebrush in Prisons program from IAE staff, while also planting around 12,000 cones with sagebrush seed. Participants will help mix soil (mostly already mixed), fill trays with soil, water, add sagebrush seed and help organize the plants to place on site.
