[email protected]
Rolando is an Ecologist for the Habitat Restoration Program, where he preserves sensitive habitat and works to increase the population health of rare and endangered plants and insects.
He obtained an A.S. in Biology at the College of Southern Idaho, and continued his studies at Oregon State University, receiving a B.S. in Botany. Before coming to the IAE, he did botany work for OSU Department of Botany and Plant Pathology, the Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Peace Corps.
When he’s not botanizing in the city or the woods, or searching for lichen and fungi, Rolando enjoys rafting and taking part in supporting his community through a variety of local activities. What he enjoys most is hiking and building new relationships with local flora and fauna and unique local areas.
