[email protected]

Morgan has been with IAE since 2022, shifting from her role as a private contractor to an full-time Ecological Education Technician after the first year. She is based out of Reno, Nevada and coordinates the Sagebrush in Prisons Program in the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City, about an hour from Reno. Morgan has 2 crews at this facility and guides them through the sagebrush growing season, while supplementing their experience with educational lessons and activities throughout the year.

Morgan’s interest in conservation work began as a young child attending Girl Scout Camps every summer and continued to grow throughout high school as she watched many of her favorite outdoor recreational areas begin to be developed into housing complexes. She pursued her passion for conservation in college, graduating with a degree in Environmental Sciences with an emphasis in Natural Resource Planning and Management from the University of Nevada. She also was an active member of Reno’s Rangeland Club and served as its President in her senior year of college. While studying, she also gained experience and knowledge as a ranch hand at the university’s farm and later worked in two popular garden centers before finding her way to IAE.

Outside of conservation work, Morgan loves to spend time with her son, family and friends. She has a growing interest in gardening and landscaping, chicken-keeping, and making her house a home. Any time spent outside or with loved ones is considered a good time!
