Larkin is the Environmental Education Coordinator at IAE, bringing education programs to local schools and developing a K-12 native plant curriculum. She received her B.S. in Biology from Montana State University. Originally from the high plains of the Rocky Mountains, Larkin has been involved in restoration projects, environmental education programs, and large carnivore research throughout western Wyoming and Montana. She has held field jobs in Nevada’s Great Basin region focusing on wildfire and rangeland restoration, and has done research studying cheatgrass in the transition zone between the Great Basin and the Mojave Desert. Larkin also spent a summer working in IAE’s Habitat Restoration program on threatened and endangered species inventory, as well as on various other restoration projects in the Willamette Valley. When not at IAE, Larkin can be found hiking, cross country skiing, cooking, or with her nose in a book.
