Jack Halsey, Treasurer
Jack Halsey is a naturalist and community organizer from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Jack received his Environmental Analysis degree from Pitzer College, with a focus on Environmental Science and Economics, and is the Executive Director of the Oswego Lake Watershed Council. He also has worked with environmental organizations including Oregon Parks and Recreation Department and Johnson Creek Watershed Council. Jack specializes in planning and implementing riparian enhancement projects, volunteer events, and field-based environmental education for student groups. He is passionate about environmental justice, fire ecology, and UAV surveys for ecology. He values investments in community, creation of opportunities for marginalized folks in the environmental field, and restoration of our connections with land, water, and nature. In his free time, Jack enjoys hiking, gardening, going to concerts, and making ceramic art.
