Pollinator Projects

Northwest Pollinator Projects

The Oregon Prairie Pollinator Project is an endeavor to map pollination networks: the linkages that describe the interdependence between the entire suite of flowering plants and all of the associated insect visitors at a given prairie site. The overall study includes more than a dozen sites in the Willamette Valley, and the Cascadian prairies of Washington. Ultimately, we will use project data to better understand how plant-pollinator networks respond to restoration efforts. IAE is collaborating with Quamash EcoResearch with support from the Army Corps of Engineers and Bureau of Land Management on this project.
