Jennifer Thornhill

Jennifer is IAE’s Fiscal Administrator.  Jenn manages IAE’s grants and contracts and does financial and budget analysis.  Prior to joining IAE, she spent 12 years at the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) where she served as a Science Analyst, Budget Analyst, and Budget Officer.  

She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Policy from George Mason University (2014), a M.S. in Animal Behavior from University of Oklahoma, and a B.S. in English Literature from Truman State University.  Jenn also holds the position of Affiliate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at George Mason University, where she continues to conducted research on the role of science in government decision-making and the development of metrics to better understand the impact of science on decision-making.  

As a Chicago native who was fortunate enough to land in Oregon after 14 years in Washington, D.C., Jenn thoroughly enjoys exploring all that Oregon has to offer with her husband, two children and pups.
