Maria is the Southwest Seed Partnership Coordinator at IAE’s Santa Fe Office. Maria works with stakeholders in the Southwest to assess seed needs, develop target species lists, coordinate seed crews and support native seed production. Maria’s background in natural resources has included opportunities to work throughout the West for land management agencies, non-profit organizations and academic institutions. Maria earned a BS in Resource Conservation in 2010 and a MS in Ecology in 2019. Most recently she worked at the NM Bureau of Land Management where she supported the Native Plant Materials Development program, and was introduced to the work of the SWSP.
