Christine Calhoun

Christine is the botany lead working in the West Eugene Wetlands.  Her main job duty is to monitor rare species and habitat on BLM lands within the wetlands.  In addition to her monitoring work, she also assists in the planning and implementation of restoration projects within the wetlands. Christine received a B.S. in environmental studies and geography from the University of Oregon in 2005.  Christine has been working in the West Eugene Wetlands since 2007, and for the Institute for Applied Ecology since 2011. She’s a native Oregonian and was born and raised in Eugene.  Outside of work she enjoys knitting, hiking, gardening, and cooking with her family.
