Legacy

Create a Legacy for Conservation with your Gift

You can include IAE in your estate planning through a bequest or gift securities, retirement assets, or insurance policies to benefit our conservation mission. By planning a legacy gift to the Institute for Applied Ecology, you play a significant and enduring role in conserving native species and habitats.

Include IAE in your trust or will:

An effective way to make an important gift to conserve and restore nature is through your will. You can name IAE as the direct beneficiary of specific assets, a portion or percentage of your estate, or of your residual estate, after payment of other bequests.

Bequests to IAE are free from federal estate tax, and can therefore offer substantial estate tax savings to individuals and families. There is no limit to the amount you can leave to the Institute for Applied Ecology or to other charitable organizations in your will.

To make a bequest in your will or trust, IAE should be named in the following manner:

“Institute for Applied Ecology, a nonprofit corporation, organized and existing under the laws of the State of Oregon in 1999, and with the principal business address of 4950 Southwest Hout Street, Corvallis, OR 97333, to be used to further the purposes of Institute for Applied Ecology”

IAE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our tax identification number is 93-1283716.

Estate gifts to IAE are dedicated to immediate and long-term habitat and endangered species conservation. Gifts may be left unrestricted. Funds may also be permanently restricted to the specific aims of the donor.
