Legacy

Create a legacy with your gift

ou can include IAE in your estate through a bequest or give securities, retirement assets, or insurance policies. By planning a legacy gift to the Institute for Applied Ecology, you play a significant and enduring role in conserving endangered species and habitats.

Include IAE in your trust or will:

An effective way to make an important gift to conserve and restore nature is through your will. You can name IAE as the direct beneficiary of specific assets, a portion of percentage of your estate, or of your residual estate after payment of other bequests.

Bequests to IAE are free from federal estate tax, and can therefore offer substantial estate tax savings. There is no limit to the amount you can leave to the Institute for Applied Ecology or to other charitable organizations in your will.

To make a bequest in your will or trust, IAE should be named in the following manner:

“Institute for Applied Ecology, a nonprofit corporation, organized and existing under the laws of the State of Oregon in 1999, and with the principle business address of 563 SW Jefferson Ave, Corvallis, OR 97333, to be used to further the purposes of Institute for Applied Ecology”

IAE is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our tax identification number is 93-1283716.

Estate gifts to IAE are dedicated to immediate and long-term habitat and endangered species conservation. Gifts may be left unrestricted – to be spent at the Board’s discretion. Funds may also be permanently restricted to the specific aims of the donor.
