Coyote Ridge Correctional Center
Supporting native plants for Sage-grouse habitat.

  • CRCC is located in Connell, WA, and houses male offenders in minimum, medium, and long-term minimum facilities.
  • Minimum security inmates grew a total of 20,000 sagebrush in 2015.
  • CRCC recently constructed an additional hoop house as part of their sagebrush in prisons project. For 2016, inmates will sow 40,000 sagebrush which will be cared for over the summer before outplanting in the fall on BLM land.
  • Inmates have gained horticulture skills, team building and a sense of giving back to the community through the sagebrush in prisons project at CRCC.
