South Boise Women’s Correctional Center (SBWCC)

  • SBWCC is a treatment and transition facility for minimum security female offenders. It is located in Kuna, Idaho near Boise.
  • A team of 2-30 women work on seed sowing and daily care of the plants.

  • SBWCC is currently growing a total of 20,000 sagebrush.
  • Institute for Applied Ecology is working with Boise BLM field office and will plant-out the plants in November 2015 on BLM land located east of Boise.
