Cheldelin Middle School

Jackson-Frazier Wetland, Benton County Parks and Natural Areas

Students at Cheldelin Middle School who have chosen to participate in the RARE Club this year are busy taking care of their plants in the school greenhouse. We are currently growing several species of native grasses, sedges, and rushes for outplanting this spring at Jackson-Frazier Wetland. We are also experimenting with fertilizer use to see how it affects plant growth and are growing native shrub species from hardwood cuttings.
