Volunteers needed Oct 18 to dig bulbs!

Great camas

The Institute for Applied Ecology would greatly appreciate any volunteers
who would like to assist with harvesting camas bulbs at the Corvallis Plant
Materials Center this coming *Tuesday (Oct 18th) at **10:00am*.   These
bulbs will be used at Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde restoration and education site.

There is only a 10% chance of rain on Tuesday, but rubber boots and rain
gear are definitely recommended.   Also, bring a lunch.

We'll meet at IAE and carpool in an IAE vehicle (return by 2pm latest).
Feel free to drive if you need to leave earlier.

Overheard

"Volunteers are the backbone, heart, and soul of the restoration movement. And whatever the eventual results of their labors may be, working to revive damaged ecosystems is transforming and strengthening their relationship with the rest of nature."

-William K. Stevens, Miracle Under the Oaks
