The RARE Partnership

The RARE (Restoration and Reintroduction Education) Partnership is our environmental stewardship, service-learning program.  RARE promotes school and community involvement in the reintroduction of rare and endangered plants and the restoration of the habitats that support them.

To do this, we pair local schools with local conservation areas, where students actively plan and participate in restoration and reintroduction of rare and endangered plant species.  We engage students in hands-on restoration involving inquiry-based science, enhancing critical-thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills of local middle and high school students as we restore habitat for Oregon’s biodiversity and natural heritage.
