Rachel Schwindt


Rachel received her B.S. in botany and M.S. in Geography from Oregon State University where she focused on Willamette Valley wet prairie ecology.  She has worked for the USFS conducting botanical surveys in forested ecosystems and wetlands and spent several years in the private sector using GIS for landscape analysis and watershed assessment.  Currently, Rachel is working on restoring prairie habitat along the Oregon coast and is developing habitat management plans for restoration of Willamette Valley prairies and wetlands.  Away from IAE, Rachel enjoys mountain and road biking, gardening with native plants, and travel around the world.
